Eight-channel thermometer LB-711 is designed for temperature measurement of any media in the scope that depends on the type of measurement sensors used (maximum -200...+550 °C).
The device consists of: eight channel measurement converter, which
is connected to from 1 to 8 temperature sensors (probes) containing
thermometric resistors Pt1000 (Pt100). The cable's length can reach up
to 10 m. In a standard version TL-2 each sensor is made in a form of a
"pin" from stainless steel. In a special version the temperature sensor’s
construction depends on its destination.
The thermometer is a stationary device of small size, powered from an outside power supply. It is characterized by a modern construction based on efficient and energy saving microprocessor controller and a precise A/C converter. Basing on the knowledge of nonlinear temperature sensor characteristics and digital calibration data stored during the calibration process in a device's memory - the microprocessor (built-in the device) counts the actual temperature measurement results. Those results are sent (in a digital form) from the device to a supervisory system of data collection.
The device is equipped with a digital current interface and its time course is analogous to a standard RS232C. The records for succeeding measurements results are sent from the device every few seconds. The output interface, except form data transmission is also used for powering the thermometer - using two-cable connection for this purpose (i.e.: telephone type), but the polarity of attaching the interface's cables is optional.
Thermometer LB-711 can cooperate with a reading panel (i.e. LB-724), meteorological station panel LB-741 or by using a converter LB-486 or LB-731, can be attached to an interface RS232C of any PC computer. The thermometer is also equipped with special software that allows on observation of the measurement results and their registration to a computer's hard disk.
The device does not have any mechanical calibration elements (i.e.: potentiometers). The calibration of the device is performed by sending calibration data obtained in the model climate conditions through a digital interface to a non-volatile memory of device. It guarantees comfort and high calibration accuracy as well as stability of the device's meteorological parameters in time.
Each thermometer can have an individual calibration
certificate issued by the LAB-EL Calibration Laboratory
or the Measurement Apparatus Laboratory of the Energy Institute in
Warsaw.
